Individually, Shawn Tucker placed 2nd, Karl Sehnert placed 3rd, Kade Koon placed 4th, and Angel Tovar-Yanez placed 6th. The team of Tucker, Koon, and Tovar-Yanez earned the first place team award while the team of Sehnert, Devin Mitchell, and Macie McIllwain placed second as a team. Earning the fourth place team honors was the team of Ryan Moore, Uriel Gutierrez, and Francisco Yanez.
This meet afforded us a look at the competition from schools we hadn't seen so far this year, including district competitors Denison and Sherman. This allows us time before the district meet at the end of March to work on any weak areas. These students work very hard at preparing for these competitions and do an excellent job of representing both SSHS and Sulphur Springs.
