Stew T-Shirt Design Unveiled
and Record Number of Cooks Ready

In an announcement from Meredith Caddell, at the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce, it was the design of Hopkins County native, Sharon Sink, pictured above, that will be on all of the 2012 Hopkins County Stew Contest T-shirts. Sink's design, featuring a campfire and stew pot, with the incription of "Battle of The Bowls 2012.....Taste It, Love It, Win It!" won this year's contest over ten other entries in the design contest, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.


"And, we had a stew committee meeting on yesterday, and I was happy to report that we already have 141 pots of stew entered in this year's contest and it is over three week away!" continued Caddell. "It's looking like we may set a record for the number of cooks, this year!"

 

 

 

Caddell also reported to the committee, on Tuesday, that she had already sold twenty booth spaces for this year's event, that will unfold on Saturday, October 27th. "This is a great response for the first year to sell commercial booths, at the stew contest," expressed Caddell. "If anyone still wants a booth, they can contact the Chamber office for additional details and pricing!"

The Hopkins County Stew Committee is praying for great weather and hoping to make this another great, great contest! So, mark you calendars and get ready to come taste and enjoy Hopkins County's traditional dish, on October 27th!
