For cowboys and cowgirls, ages three to six, it's time to shine your boots, put on your chaps, and make your way down to Circle E Western Store, on Saturday, for the annual 2012 Stick Bull Competition. Competition begins at 10:00 a.m., sharp, so plan on being there from 9:00 to 10:00 to get registered. Competitions will be held on Saturday, July 28th and Saturday, August 4th, with the top three contestants from each Saturday advancing to the "finals" to be held at the Greenville Chrysler Black Gold PBF Challenge, in the Hopkins County Civic Center, August 10th and 11th.

"Youth do not have to have their own stick bull, as we'll have some for them to ride, during the contest," advised a representative at Circle E. "But, we would encourage them to come dressed Western and to show the spirit of riding bulls and competing in Western events!"

Participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, to sign them up for the competition and it's encouraged to come early so you'll be "ready to ride" when the chutes open at 10:00 a.m., advises the personnel at Circle E.
