"The Sunshine Boys" Opens For Run,
Thursday Night, at Main Street Theater

The Sunshine Boys, Neil Simon’s classic drama/comedy about a pair of old-time feuding Vaudevillians, will be performed by the Sulphur Springs Community Players at the Main Street Theatre May 3rd – 5th and May 10th – 12th. Performances will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Willie Clark and Al Lewis were an old vaudeville team who fought and separated many years earlier. Willie now lives alone, mostly in pajamas, in a small New York hotel. Al lives with his daughter in New Jersey. CBS wants to do a nostalgic program about the history of comedy and wants to reunite Lewis and Clark. It falls to Al's nephew, Ben Silverman, to persuade the old men to forget their animosities and perform together again. This proves a hard task, but Ben finally succeeds. The quarreling can continue!
