"We wanted to make certain that all the teachers in the county began the year with our support and appreciation in the shaping of the lives of our children," expressed organizers at First Baptist Church, who hosted a luncheon for all Hopkins County teachers, on Wednesday and Thursday at The ROC. "It's our opportunity to show our appreciation for all they do in the classroom, in shaping the lives of the youth of Hopkins County!"

"It just gives you a 'boost' to begin the year, knowing that the community and churches are behind you and know the task that is ahead of us, as we begin a new year," expressed one of the school teachers. "We certainly appreciate First Baptist's support and this great luncheon!"

Teachers from Sulphur Springs, Como-Pickton, Cumby, Sulphur Bluff, Yantis, North Hopkins, Miller Grove, and Saltillo were invited to The ROC for a taco luncheon and prayer to start the new school year, compliments of First Baptist Church.

"It was a great lunch and an opportunity to visit with other teachers from across the county, as we all prepare for a great new year," expressed one teacher. "I got to visit with several of my friends who teach in other schools, and 'catch-up' on what is happening with them, as we get ready to go to the classroom again!"

"We want the teachers to know that we're behind them and value the great influence they have on our children and our community!" expressed Pastor Mark Bryant, as he visited with teachers and administrators, on Wednesday. "They shape the lives of our children and hold the future in their hands!"

Have a Great Year, Teachers!!!
