Local Team Ropers Headed For
State Jr. High School Rodeo Finals

 

 

Trenton Norris, 13 year old son of Trey and Tonya Norris of Yantis and
Chandler Calvin, 14 year old son of Chad and Kelly Calvin of Cooper
claimed the title of Texas Jr. High School Rodeo - Region IV Champion
Team Ropers this past Saturday at the Wade Arena in Terrell, TX. The
boys each received a fully tooled Jeff Smith tropy saddle for their
win.

Rodeo season for the boys started back on September 11, 2011 with a
1st place win and they never looked back. They have competed well all
season placing at 9 out of 10 rodeos. They finished strong this
weekend at the Finals placing in both rounds and winning the average.

 

 

Trenton on the head side and Chandler roping the heels, the boys have
earned the chance to compete at the State Finals in Gonzales, TX the
week of May 27 - June 2, 2012.

Congrantulations Trenton and Chandler! Your hard work has paid off
and we are very proud of you both!
