Three Vehicle Accident Claims
Life of Local Man, Tuesday Afternoon

A three vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy-11 West and Hopkins County Road-4710, claimed the life of a local man, on Tuesday afternoon. Fifty-four year old Augustine Medina Yanez was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Ronny Glossup. Yanez was driving a vehicle stopped at the intersection on CR-4710, when he was struck from behind and propelled into the traffic on Highway-11, where his vehicle was struck a second time by another motorist.

Glossup also reported the death of a man at 128 Charles Street, on Tuesday night, when he received a call at approximately midnight. The victim was found by one of his housemates and made the report. Glossup ordered an autopsy, which is routine in the investigation.
