Tractor-Truck Pull Delights Crowd
on Saturday Night
by: Bobby McDonald
It was smoke and deafening sounds that penetrated the air on Saturday night as the annual Help-A-Child Tractor-Truck Pull was hosted on Hwy-19 South, at the Bartley Auction Grounds. Folks from as far away as Hereford, in the Texas Panhandle brought their classic "hot-rod" trucks and tractors, to Saturday night's event and the largest ever crowd of spectators enjoyed a super show that included music and a fireworks display in between the pulls.
"It was the largest crowd we've ever had to attend," advised Wade Bartley, one of the event organizers. "It just seems to get bigger and better each year!"
Proceeds from Saturday night's event will be donated to four children's charities that benefit youth in the Northeast Texas area.
