United Way Campaign Chairs, Kayla Price and Markeda Fisher secured the help of Chairman Ruth Ann Crowson
and Secretary Susan Berning, as they had "Santa's Elves," complete with Mrs. Claus and a reindeer, waiting
for United Way Workers at Tuesday's reporting meeting.

Song leaders, Bob Weaver and Ruth Ann Crowson, lead the group of volunteers
in a rendition of "United Way Jingle Bells!"

Dashing through the streets

With packets in our hands.
Helping those with needs

All throughout the land.

Checks and change ring,

Making burdens light.

What joy it is to bring

Money to this site.

Oh, United Way, United Way
United, yes we are!
Bringing love and help to those
In our backyards.

United Way, United Way
United, yes we are!
Bringing love and help to those

In our backyards!

United Way Campaign workers arrived at Tuesday's Reporting Meeting to the "tune" of Santa's Elves in the workshop, spreading a little bit of Christmas Cheer! Campaign Chairs, Kayla Price and Markeda Fisher, were "all decked out" in elf costumes, while Campaign Chair, Ruth Ann Prim, was Mrs. Claus. Secretary, Susan Berning was none other than "Cupid," that special reindeer!

Workers reported their "gifts" as they answered "roll call" around the room, with "elf" John Sellers reporting that City National Bank had collected a 150% goal and that employees had collected a 200% of their goal!

And, Judy Tipping, representing SSISD, reported that each department in the school system had exceeded their goal and had collected $9,806.00 for this year's campaign!

Meanwhile, the Bank Clearing House drew for their lucky United Way Winners and announced the results of monetary prizes for the three bank's employees.

But, the "big cheer" came when, Crowson announced that the total collections were at $124, 964.15 or 83% of this year's $150,000.00 goal!!!

"We'll have one more 'gift giving' session, next Tuesday," expressed an excited Markeda Fisher.

"We hope to 'wrap-up' the campaign, next week!" added Kayla Price. "Thank you all for your hard, hard work!"

It was Bob Weaver's Birthday, so he got to wear the Santa hat!
