If you see a member of the Sulphur Springs Wildcat Marching Band walking with a "strut" today, each of the members have a reason to show their pride. The band attended the Region IV Marching Band Contest, at Sam Parker Field, in Mt. Pleasant, on Tuesday, and walked away from the tough competition with three number one ratings for their performance. The band received a number one rating from each of the three judges and represented Sulphur Springs High School and Hopkins County extremely well.

Drum Majors Rachel Carrington and Leah Davis lead the Wildcat Band, during competition.

The band performed their program entitled "Hemisphere," that those attending Wildcat football games have seen portions of during the season's halftime performances.

Some 60 Wildcat Band Boosters and supporters followed the band to Mt. Pleasant to offer their support and to cheer for them during the performance.

The band will now advance to Area Competition, which will be held on October 27th, in Mesquite. The Wildcat Band will also be competing at Parkway, in Bossier City, LA, on Saturday, October 20th.

A jubilant, Charles McCauley, signifies the division one ratings at Tuesday's Marching Contest.

Congratulations,
