by: Bobby McDonald
Four former Sulphur Springs Wildcats were inducted into the Wildcat Hall of Fame, on Friday afternoon, during pre-game activities, before the Wildcat-Mt. Pleasant match-up in Gerald Prim Stadium. The four were formally introduced at a reception held in their honor in the SSHS Library, and then each of them were introduced, along with other Hall of Fame inductees at the Football Field, in a brief ceremony before the crowd.
2007 inductees include Charlie Carothers (deceased), Robert Cody, Damiyon Bell, and Tameria Jimmerson. Bill Allison, nephew of Carothers, accepted the award posthumously.
Carothers was a member of the Class of 1961 and an outstanding golfer, during his era as a Wildcat.
Cody lettered in Football and Baseball, during his high school career and graduated in 1989. A Texas A&M University graduate, he is comptroller for GSC Enterprises in Sulphur Springs.

Damiyon Bell was a Wildcat stand-out in Football and completed his career at Stephen F. Austin University, where he majored in Business and Marketing.
