
First Baptist Yantis Honors
Teachers and Staff With Breakfast and Prayer

Members and Staff at First Baptist Church Yantis, honored the Yantis ISD Teachers and Staff with a breakfast and prayer for the upcoming new school year.
"We want to thank the First Baptist Church for their hospitality and the great words of encouragement," expressed new Yantis Superintendent, Penny Armstrong. "We're all excited about a wonderful year and the many challenges that will be presented as we start another great year!"


Armstrong also announced a number of "new faces" in the Yantis ISD for the coming years, and some important dates to remember:
"We have several new faces at Yantis ISD this year. Mackenzie Perkins was previously an aide and she is now a Pre-K teacher for us. Lindsay Chamness will be teaching 3rd grade, Kassi Smith will be teaching 5th grade, and we have Misty Jones returning to us as an Elementary Aide. " denoted Armstrong. "In middle school we have Amanda Garriga, a Yantis graduate, who will be teaching Middle School Math and Coaching. In High School we have David Stribling, who also attended Yantis ISD, teaching Math and working with our Academic UIL. We have Thomas Copeland teaching High School History and coaching. Susan Armstrong will be teaching Spanish and Wendy Stinson will be working as a secondary aide. We are so excited about the talent that each of these people will add to our district."
