Yantis Memorial Day
Services Announced
Yantis Cemetery Annual Memorial Day will be held on Saturday, June 21st at the Yantis Cemetery Grounds beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Board of Directors of the Yantis Perpetual Care Society has a special day planned and hopes that you can join us. Restroom facilities and transportation around the cemetery will be provided. In case of bad weather, the Memorial Day will be held at the Yantis Community Center.
The program will start with the annual business meeting. Included will be a report on actions taken by the board of directors of the Yantis Perpetual Care Society and a financial report of the cemetery during the past year. You will also hear a report from President Carl Davis. Mary Parker and Nancy Collins will give a memorial tribute. You will also hear a presentation from the Hopkins County Military Coalition regarding the Veteran’s Memorial. Also discussed will be the need for your input on the formation of a records book for the Cemetery.
After the program, a catered lunch prepared by Big Smith’s Bar-B-Q will be provided compliments of the Yantis Perpetual Care Society. Please bring a dessert to share with family and friends.
On the back of this letter please find a list of the Rules and Regulations for the Yantis Cemetery. Please understand that these rules are in place to help keep the Cemetery beautiful and for the respect of the solemnity of the place.
Finally, to maintain the City Cemetery grounds we need your help. Your donations pay for all of the upkeep of the Cemetery and without your support we would not be able to keep the Cemetery in such a good manner. If you are unable to attend on Memorial Day you may send your donations to the Yantis Perpetual Care Society at the address below.
