Yantis Robotics Team Excels at Regional
From Yantis ISD
The Yantis Robotics Teams, "Owlbotics1" and "Owlbotics2," competed at the Regional Tournament at the University of Texas at Arlington, this past weekend and were members of the winning alliance. They are elligible for an invitation to the World Competition, if there is enough spots available.
Members of the team are: Isaac Allen, Caragen Battles, Dylan Beech, Pedro Camacho, Samantha Dodgen, Jose Gonzalez, Corey Harrington, Lila Hurley, Dereck Large, Jesus Sandoval, Josh Tutor, and Shelbie Walker.

The teams have worked on the project for the past several months and had previously competed at the Northeast Texas Community College Contest and earned the advancement to the Regional Competition with a great showing at the UT Tyler Contest, when they garnered the "Think Award" for their engineering notebook.
The team has used a programing language called "LabView" to program their robot, implementing a drag-and-drop visual design to operate the robot.
"We want to thank all of those who have helped us with this project," expressed the Yantis Team members. "And, hopefully we'll be awarded one of the spots to go to the World Competition!"
Congratulations, Yantis Robotics!!!
