Scenic Yellowstone
by: Bobby McDonald

As most of you know, I'm "on tour" in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, headed to shoot the Cheyenne, Wyoming, Rodeo, "The Granddaddy of 'em All," on Saturday.
Well, today, despite having some internet and long distance problems, I'm attempting to bring you some of the breathtaking scenery, from Yellowstone. The pictures can't possibly capture the beauty, but I'll attempt to bring you some of what I'm seeing.
Yellowstone National Park, created in 1872, as the nation's first National Park, by President Ulysses S. Grant. It derives it's name from the French-Canadian trappers who translated the American Indian word for the local river to "Riviere des Roches Juanes" to "Yellow Rock River."
Among the native American inhabitants to what is now Yellowstone were the Blackfoot, Crow, Bannock, Flathead, Nez Perce, and Shoshone Indians. The Shoshone Indians used the area as their permanent encampment region, as they were a mountainous people who subsisted on bighorn sheep, earning them the name "Sheep Eaters." Their bows and arrows were made of sheep horn and porcupine quills, and were so finely made that they were prized in trade to other Indian tribes.
Come join with me and enjoy this great place and the beautiful scenery, that is known as Yellowstone:

Provided that the internet capabilities "hold out" and I'm able to "get a signal," I'll be sending you more scenes from scenic Yellowstone and then the Grand Teton Mountains. Regardless, you'll probably get tired of hearing about it, once I get back from this trip. As you can see, it is truly awesome.
Note: I'm on the laptop computer and I can't tell the quality of the pictures, so hopefully they are "a touch" of the quality of scenery that I'm seeing!
See you in a few days!
