Youth Hopkins County Idol
Winners to Compete in Finals

Five young ladies have made it to the finals in the first ever, Youth Division Hopkins County Idol Contest. The five will be competing for the 2012 Youth Hopkins County Idol Title, Saturday, September 15th, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Hopkins County Civic Center auditorium.

Come out and cheer these young ladies on and watch some very talented performances.

The Adult competition will begin at 4:00 p.m.

 

Youth Competitors are:

 

Hailee Nixon

 

Hailee Nixon----10 yrs old                      Winnsboro

4th grade student of Winnsboro Elementary School, she started singing when she was 5 years old and developed

a real passion for it.  She and her sister Hanah, who is also in the competition, a part of the sibling trio Two Hearts Plus.  In addition to singing at small and large venues, Hailee and her sister delight in captifying audiences with their comedic skits.

 

 

Hannah Moore

 

Hanah Moore----12 yrs old                    Winnsboro

7th grade student of Memorial Middle School, a Bravette,  and a member of the school band.

 She is the lead singer of Two Hearts Plus, a sibling trio, who have performed for many small and large

venues.  In her spare time, Hanah loves to ride her horse that she broke.

 

 

 

 

Jaci Reed

 

Jaci Reed----12 yrs old                                         Sulphur Springs

At the early age of 2, Jaci stood before the county judge and lead the courtroom in the Pledge of Allegiance without fear.

From her daddy buying her a karaoke machine and singing at family functions, to taking classes and voice lessons, she has continued to work to be the best she can be.  When she sings, she puts her heart and soul into every song and when she is singing for the Lord, you will walk away with a blessing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trinity Campbell

 

Trinity Campbell—10 yrs old                            Pittsburg

She loves to sing country and gospel music.  When she was 5 years old, she would wake her parents up at night

Singing in her sleep.  They bought her a microphone and karaoke equipment to sing on during the day so they could

Sleep at night!  She has performed for many benefits and won her school’s talent show this past May.  She will also

Perform with the Reilly Springs Jamboree at the Civic Center on Saturday, Sept 15th immediately following the final round of the Adult Idol competition.

 

 

 

Lakin Porter

 

 Lakin Porter----16 yrs old                      Pittsburg

She is a junior at Mt. Pleasant High School, where she is very active in the FFA. She is a member of the

Meat judging team, the talent team, and is currently the secretary of the Paris District FFA.  She began singing

at an early age after attending a lot of the venues where her aunts, the Porter Sisters, performed

for various venues.  She loves traditional country music and says that she loves the way country music tells a story.
